Our client is a modern and progressive multi office law firm and is also part of a Fortune 500 global listed company.
We currently have a new role for an Associate or Senior Associate Solicitor in the Manchester office working on a hybrid basis supporting on both conscientious and non-contentious employment law cases on behalf of the firm's SME and large national / international businesses. You'll be joining a growing legal 500 recognised team spanning several offices.
What you’ll be doing:
You will support clients on a range of contentious and non-contentious employment law matters, including:
- Advising on ACAS early conciliation, prospects, HR issues, and grievance/disciplinary procedures
- Drafting and reviewing contracts, handbooks, and settlement agreements
- Managing Employment Tribunal and EAT claims, from instruction to hearing on behalf of defendants / respondents
- Conducting advocacy (where appropriate), case management, witness statements, and client briefings
- Delivering training, legal updates, and contributing to cross-team knowledge sharing
- Building and nurturing strong client relationships
To succeed in this role you will have:
- Strong experience in both contentious and non-contentious employment law
- 5PQE experience
- Current Practising Certificate as a solicitor or barrister in the UK
- Excellent communication, drafting and analytical skills
- Confidence in client-facing roles, with strong commercial awareness
- Ability to manage a busy caseload with independence and efficiency
- Commitment to CPD, teamwork and continuous improvement
Salary to £65k plus 10% bonus plus fantastic benefits package.
