An established UK law firm with a strong national presence is seeking a Court of Protection Solicitor to join its Manchester-based team. This role focuses on the management of property and financial affairs for vulnerable individuals who lack capacity, working closely with Deputies, families, and carers to ensure decisions are made in clients’ best interests. The position offers hands-on responsibility, supported development, and hybrid working.
Candidate Profile / Experience Needed
- 0–4 years PQE as a qualified Solicitor
- Prior experience handling Court of Protection matters (Property & Affairs)
- Strong working knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act 2005
- Experience managing client caseloads and financial affairs
- Ability to support Deputies on higher-value or complex matters
- Excellent organisational and time-recording skills
- Confident, empathetic approach to client care, including challenging behaviours
