Litigation Solicitor in Leeds

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded litigator with previous litigation experience to take on a broader supervisory role supporting team performance, technical excellence and departmental growth, while managing a smaller complex caseload.

Candidate Profile / Experience Needed

• 5+ years’ PQE in civil or commercial Litigation.
• The role will focus on commercial/debt recovery litigation. Candidates who have prior experience in other areas of civil litigation such as personal injury looking to make a move will be considered.
• Excellent knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules across all tracks.
• Experience handling complex litigation matters independently.
• Strong commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach.
• Previous mentoring or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and auditing the work of more junior case handlers in the department on debt recovery work.
• Managing your own smaller caseload of higher value debt recovery and commercial dispute work.
• Advising clients on strategy, risk and outcomes.
• Drafting statements of case, applications and witness statements.
• Supporting junior team members and assisting with team performance.
• Working closely with senior leadership on quality and process improvement.
