An established and highly regarded specialist law firm is looking to recruit a Solicitor into its Clinical Negligence team, based in North Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading firm known for its work across health and social care, charity, education and social enterprise sectors, supporting clients through complex and evolving legal challenges.
The successful candidate will manage their own caseload of defendant clinical negligence matters, acting on behalf of NHS Trusts and General Practitioners, while also supporting senior lawyers on high-value and complex claims.
Candidate Profile / Experience Needed
- Experience handling clinical negligence claims on either the claimant or defendant side.
- Strong legal knowledge and the ability to manage a varied and sometimes complex caseload.
- Newly qualified solicitors through to those with up to 2 years' PQE are encouraged to apply.
- Experience with pre-action investigations, litigation and costs management.
- Confidence interviewing clinicians and drafting witness statements.
- Experience instructing medical experts and working on multi-party litigation.
- Exposure to ADR, mediation and trial preparation.
- Excellent time management, organisation and time recording skills.
- A strong focus on compliance, data security and client protocols.
