We’re looking for a sharp, sales-driven & ambitious Business Development Representative to grow the positioning of Anago’s smart planning & control software to the UK education sector. Your role:
As a Business Development Representative, you’ll be at the heart of our growth within the UK market. You will focus on lead generation, proposal creation and booking meetings.
You’ll report to our Managing Director of Anago Education UK and collaborate with the Business Development Manager and Marketing Lead.
What you’ll do:
- The Business Development Representative will generate new business opportunities. A major part of this role is prospecting new business opportunities through cold calling.
- You’ll have a high level of autonomy, working with the team to define the best approach and continuously improve messaging.
- This is definitely not “script calling” – we value curiosity, experimentation, and genuine conversations.
- Alongside prospecting via cold calling, this role requires some understanding (though not essential) of the UK Education “system” and if changes are made (which is likely) the role will need to keep up to date with policy changes.
- Build a good social media presence through platforms such as LinkedIn in collaboration with marketing.
- Review events and have a solid understanding of who is attending, in terms of both delegates and exhibitors.
- Create an ongoing SWOT analysis of the competitors within the Finance “space” of Education.
- Ensure all meetings scheduled with prospects have completed background notes enabling full visibility of the opportunity.
Performance measures:
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals.
- 100 prospecting calls per day - but will vary dependent on calls answered.
- 10 qualified calls per day - speaking with a decision maker.
- 10 meetings booked per week.
- 5 leads generated per week.
What you bring:
- BSC or BSA with some experience in sales.
- Experience in active, outbound prospecting (cold calling).
- Experience in selling into the EdTech sector is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to work with CRM solutions.
- O365 competent.
- Social Media “Awareness” LinkedIn as an example.
- Tenacity, Drive, Enthusiasm, Can do attitude.
- Entrepreneurial spirit.
