As a Field Service Technician, you are responsible for organising, planning, and conducting both planned and reactive maintenance on a range of electrical/mechanical equipment. Carry out fault finding on both electrical and mechanical systems, completing the replacement of parts and returning the equipment back into service. You will also handle the adjustment, optimisation, and ongoing maintenance of systems, as well as providing failure services. The role may include supervising contractors during a plant’s construction and upgrade phase. Assist remote engineers with the programming, optimisation and fault finding on equipment controlled by software/PLC.
Job requirements
- Candidate will need to be electrically qualified, as a minimum holding a current level 3 electrical qualification.
- 18th Edition, electrical installation is desirable but not essential.
- In addition, industrial knowledge and background is ideal, as the role involves a high degree of mechanical work (pumps, submersible mixers, and other general mechanical equipment).
- Be familiar with aspects of an anaerobic digestion plant or a similar process/plant environment.
- Undertake measures to improve the plant reliability, efficiency and performance conducted always in a safe and efficient manner.
- Have a flexible approach to work and allow for overtime together with UK travel and staying away from home on a regular basis.
- Be organised with a can-do attitude.
- Maintain professionalism at all times.
- Full clean driving license as the role is field based with travel around the UK.
