Are you ready to roll up your sleeves and take full ownership of the numbers from start to finish? We’re looking for a hands‑on Management Accountant to manage a portfolio “cradle to grave.” This is a detail‑focused role where you’ll take responsibility for everything—from posting journals to managing contract P&Ls—while delivering accurate, timely monthly accounts. You’ll need to be just as comfortable in the detail as you are interpreting it. Beyond producing the numbers, you’ll dig deeper—uncovering trends, identifying risks and opportunities, and providing meaningful insights that support better decision‑making. We’re seeking someone who takes pride in accountability, thrives under challenge, and ensures nothing slips. You’ll work closely with account directors and operational teams, using your analysis to influence performance, drive improvements, and support change across your portfolio. If you’re ambitious, commercially aware, and motivated by ownership and impact, we’d like to hear from you.

Core Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of a portfolio of contract P&Ls from end to end
  • Deliver accurate and timely monthly management accounts
  • Prepare and post journals, accruals, and prepayments
  • Produce supporting schedules and analysis for contract reviews
  • Ensure financial accuracy while identifying trends and variances
  • Partner with operational teams and account directors to improve performance

Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Present findings to stakeholders across the business
  • Challenge assumptions and highlight risks and opportunities
  • Support decision‑making through meaningful financial analysis
  • Build strong relationships with both finance and operational teams

Ideal Candidate

  • Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and highly accountable
  • Strong experience managing end‑to‑end management accounts
  • Comfortable working hands‑on with journals, reconciliations, and data
  • Commercially aware, with the ability to interpret and influence performance
  • Confident communicator who can engage and challenge stakeholders
  • Thrives in a fast‑paced, evolving environment

Salary: ÂŁ50,000 per year
Monday – Friday | 8:30am – 4:30pm (40 hours per week)

If you’re a motivated finance professional who enjoys taking ownership, influencing business performance, and working closely with operational teams, we would love to hear from you.
