We are seeking a commercially focused, self-driven Business Development Manager to join our team as we expand. This new business role will suit someone who gets energized by creating opportunities, establishing relationships, and building a sales funnel from scratch. The successful candidate will research prospective clients, develop an understanding of their needs, and identify the opportunities that will lay the foundations of future partnerships.
What you will do:
- Identifying target organizations and investigating new business opportunities.
- Build, manage, and enhance your pipeline.
- Active sales activity with senior decision-makers in identified target organizations.
- A consultative approach to positioning Anabas Welcome to best meet the needs of the prospect.
- Research on clients, competitors, and market trends to identify opportunities and innovative approaches.
- Developing the best winning proposals and presentations aligned with Anabas Welcome's value proposition.
- Negotiating, from initial prospecting through negotiation and contract award, with the purchaser.
- Internal support required to ensure all proposed solutions emanate from sound commercial and operational grounds.
- Sales activity, pipeline, and forecasting information are kept current at all times.
- Develop relationships that hold future encounters and follow-up sales opportunities.
- Enhance Anabas Welcome’s reputation; match the quality dimension of our proposition on the sales journey.

You will be someone who has:
- A proven track record of generating new business and building a substantial pipeline independently.
- Confidence in prospecting, opening doors and engaging senior stakeholders.
- The ability to research a prospective client before approaching them.
- Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of competitive markets.
- Excellent communication skills and, importantly, an active listener who asks insightful questions.
- The capability to understand a client's challenges before jumping into a sales pitch.
- High organisation and preparation, with excellent attention to detail.
- Resilience, persistence and creativity when developing new opportunities.
- Experience within Facilities Management, workplace services, property, hospitality, professional services or another B2B service-led environment would be advantageous.
