As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Bid Manager to join our sales and marketing team and play a key role in securing new business opportunities across the UK.
Location: UK-based (remote/hybrid working available). The successful candidate will be required to attend the Anabas office in Darlington at least once per month, together with travel to client sites and Anabas locations across the UK as required. For candidates based in the North East, more frequent attendance in Darlington will be expected.
The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced bid professional to take ownership of complex, high-value tenders and proposals. The role is ideally suited to an individual with strong private sector tender experience. Working closely with operational leaders, subject matter experts and the senior leadership team, you will lead the end-to-end bid process, developing compelling, customer-focused submissions that clearly articulate Anabas' value proposition and differentiate us from our competitors. You will also have access to Anabas' AI-powered bid writing platform, enabling you to work more efficiently and focus on bid strategy, win themes, solution development and quality rather than administrative tasks. This role would suit a highly organised, commercially minded Bid Manager who enjoys shaping winning solutions and thrives in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end management of tender opportunities
- Develop bid strategies, win themes and response plans
- Facilitate bid kick-off meetings and manage bid programmes
- Work with operational, commercial and technical teams to develop compelling solutions
- Write, edit and review high-quality tender responses
- Ensure submissions are compliant and tailored to client requirements
- Manage bid timelines and coordinate contributions from stakeholders across the business
- Prepare presentation materials as part of the tender process
- Maintain and develop the bid content library and knowledge management processes
- Utilise Anabas' AI-powered bid platform to support content development and continuous improvement
- Conduct post-submission reviews and identify lessons learned to improve future performance
