Are you a commercially driven sales professional with experience in timber, building products, or the builders' merchant sector? Our client is looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager to grow an established customer portfolio, win new business and strengthen its presence across an assigned UK territory.

Today, the Group operates through a portfolio of respected brands, reflecting both its scale and strategic expansion. Our client supplies a wide range of timber products to the Irish and UK markets, serving the construction, pallet wood and fencing industries. Proactively manage and grow an established customer base while identifying and developing new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
Build, maintain and strengthen long‐lasting relationships with key accounts and Buying Groups.
Manage and develop the assigned sales territory through structured planning, prioritisation and effective account management.
Achieve, exceed and consistently deliver agreed annual sales targets and key performance milestones.
Ensure a high standard of customer service is maintained across all accounts, acting as a trusted commercial partner.
Accurately maintain sales activity, customer information and account data within the CRM system.
Actively contribute to the growth, performance and reputation of the Group's UK sales operation.
Represent Glennon Brothers in a professional manner, aligned with the Group's values and commercial objectives.
Plan and prioritise territory activity to maximise commercial opportunities.
Deliver agreed sales targets and performance objectives.
Provide a consistently high standard of customer service.
Maintain accurate customer, account and sales activity information in the CRM system.

Demonstrated experience in field or customer‐facing sales roles, with the ability to manage a larger territory and deliver sustainable sales growth.
Experience selling timber or building products, with selling into the builders' merchant sector considered a strong advantage.
Demonstrated ability to manage existing accounts while developing new customer relationships.
Experience working with sales targets, forecasting and performance metrics.
Familiarity with CRM systems and structured sales processes.
Proven success in a field-based or customer-facing sales role.
Experience managing a territory, retaining key accounts and winning new customers.
Timber or Building products sales experience is essential; knowledge of the Timber/Builders' merchant sector would be a strong advantage.
Commercial awareness and confidence working with targets, forecasts and performance measures.
Strong communication, negotiation, relationship-building and organisational skills.
A self-motivated, accountable and collaborative approach.
