An Tobar and Mull Theatre (AT&MT) is a small but ambitious multi-artform charity based on the Isle of Mull. We create, present and nurture theatre, music, visual art and creative learning rooted in place and open to the world.
We are now seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our team on a part-time (approximately 0.5 FTE), permanent basis. This is a key role within the organisation, working closely with our Artistic Director & Chief Executive and senior team to ensure strong financial management, robust governance and sustainable futures for our work.
The Finance Manager will take day-to-day responsibility for AT&MT’s financial management and bookkeeping, while also providing clear, strategic financial insight to support decision-making at Board and senior level. You will oversee monthly management accounts and cashflow, ensure compliance with charity and accounting regulations, coordinate audits and examinations, and support grant finance and reporting.
This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who enjoys combining detailed financial work with a broader view of how good systems support creative ambition.
About you
You will be a professionally qualified accountant, or bring equivalent experience, with a strong track record in charity finance. You’ll be confident preparing management accounts, handling statutory reporting, and working with auditors and external providers. Just as importantly, you’ll be able to communicate financial information clearly and supportively to colleagues who are not finance specialists. Experience in the arts or cultural sector is welcome but not essential. What matters most is your integrity, attention to detail, and interest in contributing to the life of a values-driven cultural organisation.
Working with us
AT&MT is a friendly, collaborative organisation with a strong sense of purpose. We are open to in-person, hybrid or remote working, with some on-site meetings as required, and we are keen to hear from candidates based both on and off the island.
Terms
- Part-time (approx. 0.5 FTE), permanent contract
- Flexible working arrangements
