A welcoming nursery setting in the Salisbury area is seeking a Level 3 Nursery Assistant to join their team for Term 3, starting 5th January. This is a full-time role, working 8:30am to 3:30pm, supporting children in a caring and engaging early years environment. The nursery places a strong emphasis on nurturing curiosity, confidence and independence in young learners. Children are encouraged to explore, reflect and grow, with staff working together to provide a positive start to their learning journey and help them develop the skills they'll carry forward into school and beyond.

Alongside general nursery support, the role will include delivering small group activities, guided by the Nursery Lead.

Responsibilities:

  • Nursery TA support plus small group work with minimal planning, led and supported by the Nursery Lead.

This role would suit a nurturing and proactive early years practitioner who enjoys supporting children's development through play, routine and structured activities.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold a Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Be empathetic with a kind and caring demeanour, putting the needs of the children above all else.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Be able to take the initiative to best meet the needs of the children being supported, displaying a clear understanding of the different ways they learn.
  • Show passion, enthusiasm, and creativity when engaging with children of all primary ages and abilities.
  • Be able to work in the UK.
  • Possess a valid DBS on the update service (or we can process one for you).
