The Associate Director, Media Strategy & Execution will lead the development of integrated media and channel strategies that connect business priorities to measurable patient and healthcare professional engagement. This role will guide how paid, owned, earned, and emerging digital channels work together across the customer journey, ensuring media investment is aligned to brand objectives, audience needs, budget priorities, and performance outcomes.

You will partner closely with brand, commercial, web, CRM, content, analytics, IT, legal, privacy, and agency teams to build agile, compliant, data-informed digital journeys for both patients and HCPs. The role requires a strategic operator who can translate insights into actionable media plans, manage investment tradeoffs, strengthen measurement discipline, and continuously optimize the channel ecosystem to improve relevance, efficiency, and business impact.

Responsibilities

  • Develop connected media and channel strategies across paid, owned, earned, CRM, web, search, social, programmatic, video/CTV, endemic, non-endemic, and emerging digital channels.
  • Translate brand objectives, audience insights, market dynamics, and customer needs into clear channel recommendations and journey-led media plans.
  • Partner with brand teams to advise on the creation of compelling, compliant, audience-appropriate content.
  • Design and execute KOL and community influencer programs in partnership with brand teams.
  • Measure performance using audience engagement and downstream behaviour signals.
  • Lead annual, quarterly, and in-cycle media planning processes.
  • Make data-informed recommendations on channel mix, investment levels, and funding tradeoffs.
  • Manage media budgets in partnership with brand teams, finance, procurement, agencies, and media operations.
  • Use performance data to identify actionable opportunities.
  • Translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations.
  • Define success measures, dashboards, reporting inputs, and learning agendas.
  • Champion a test-and-learn culture.
  • Serve as a strategic media partner to commercial leaders and brand teams.
  • Lead agency collaboration across media strategy, planning, activation, performance reporting, and optimization.
  • Support compliant execution in a regulated environment.
  • Influence stakeholders through clear storytelling and structured recommendations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 8+ years of experience in media strategy, channel strategy, digital marketing, omnichannel engagement, or related commercial disciplines in the life sciences industry.
  • Experience developing integrated media strategies across digital-first ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated experience managing media budgets and agency partners.
  • Strong understanding of patient and HCP engagement and compliant marketing practices.
  • Experience building measurement frameworks and defining KPIs.
  • Proven ability to operate in a matrixed organization.
  • Knowledge of U.S. healthcare marketing dynamics.
  • Familiarity with media measurement approaches.
  • Hands-on experience with media platforms and analytics tools.
  • Experience designing and optimizing content for social channels.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical orientation.

Work Location and Conditions

At Amylyx, we proudly support remote work opportunities within the United States. However, we are unable to hire employees who reside and/or work in certain states. You will be expected to travel to our corporate location in Cambridge, MA several times a year.

Compensation

The pay range posted below represents our good faith estimate of compensation for this role. Estimated Pay Range: $173,000 - $195,000 USD.
