Day shift, Monday to Friday, Maintenance Engineers opportunity at this diverse manufacturing / engineering company. We are looking for an electrically biased Maintenance engineer is required to join this team covering planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of equipment and facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical breakdowns
- Perform regular preventative maintenance (e.g., oil changes, water dosing, filter replacements)
- Maintain and repair machinery, including hydraulic presses and range of furnaces
- Conduct fault finding as needed
- Support on-site services (fire, water, electricity)
- Manage maintenance stock and order spare parts
- Communicate with suppliers
- Adhere to safety regulations and standard operating procedures
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Document procedures and complete necessary paperwork
Required Skills And Experience
- 18th edition electrical regs
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar environment
- Experience with heavy machinery e.g. pneumatic presses
- Familiarity with pumps, motors, and compressors
- Strong health and safety awareness
- Proficiency in IT (Excel/Word) and experience with maintenance IT systems
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to work at heights and perform manual handling tasks
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Full driving licence (occasional travel to Surrey required)
- Experience with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
