The predicted salary is between 28000 - 30000 € per year.

PAY RATE: £13.45 per hour

HOURS: Monday to Friday 08.15am to 16.15pm. Term time only (non-term-time, additional hours will be available on other local sites)

THE ROLE: We are looking for a dedicated security officer to join our team. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for students, staff and visitors by monitoring and enforcing security measures and responding to incidents or emergencies promptly.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Control of access and egress of college, via entrance barriers.
  • Check student ID badges and assist students with queries.
  • Complete rotation of college buildings and monitor car parks.
  • Meet and greet then direct any visitors to reception and assist with queries from students, tutors, and contractors.
  • Provide a high level of customer service.
  • Respond to security incidents & issues.

SKILLS:

  • You have at least one year of security experience.
  • You are capable of dealing with a variety of situations and are very customer service-focused.
  • You are able to communicate clearly and effectively, attaining a good standard of verbal and written English.
  • You have good organisational and record-keeping skills.
  • You are IT literate and able to use Smartphone and Microsoft Office applications.
  • You are well-presented at all times.

LICENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • You must have a current SIA Door Supervisor Licence for this role.
  • You must have a checkable 5 year employment history (this can include full-time education or periods on benefits).
  • Possession of a First Aid at Work Certificate is desirable.
  • Possession of an Enhanced DBS is desirable.
