£16.00 per hour

HOURS:

4 on 4 off rotation Shift timings 0700-1900hrs & 1900hrs – 0700hrs
Various Sites Across Scotland & Northern England.
Due to some sites being based in North England / North Wales, some travel and overnight hotel stays will be required.

THE ROLE:

The Ambassador (Mobile Supervisor) is responsible for providing out-of-hours supervisory support across our client sites serviced by Amulet Security. The role is designed to provide visible management support, ensure compliance with site procedures, promote employee welfare, and respond to incidents and operational issues.
The Ambassador will act as the primary point of contact for officers working across the contract both inside & outside normal business hours, ensuring service delivery standards are maintained at all times.
The Ambassador will receive a briefing from the Ops Manager or Team Leader regarding any incidents, staffing matters, operational concerns, or specific instructions requiring attention during the shift.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Site Visits and Welfare
  • Conduct regular out-of-hours visits to all client sites covered by Amulet Security
  • Complete welfare checks with on-duty security officers
  • Provide support, guidance, and assistance to site teams
  • Ensure officers are adhering to site-specific instructions, assignment instructions, and company procedures
  • Maintain a visible supervisory presence across the contract
  • Incident Management
  • Respond to security incidents, emergencies, alarms, and operational issues as required
  • Liaise with clients, emergency services, control rooms, and management where appropriate
  • Ensure incidents are managed professionally and escalated in accordance with company procedures
  • Provide immediate support to officers involved in incidents
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance
  • Conduct site inspections and compliance audits
  • Conduct key-safe audits as directed
  • Review and check site files to ensure all documentation is accurate, current, and compliant
  • Identify and report any deficiencies or areas requiring improvement
  • Ensure all company policies and client requirements are being followed
  • Training and Development
  • Deliver on-site coaching and support to security officers
  • Complete workplace training and competency assessments where required
  • Assist with the onboarding and development of new employees
  • Identify training needs and report them to management
  • Employee Reviews
  • Conduct employee performance reviews and welfare discussions
  • Provide feedback and support to officers
  • Escalate any performance, conduct, attendance, or welfare concerns to management
  • Reporting
  • Complete a comprehensive shift report at the end of every shift detailing:
  • Sites visited
  • Officers spoken to
  • Welfare checks completed
  • Site file audits conducted
  • Incidents attended
  • Actions taken
  • Outstanding issues requiring follow-up
  • Submit reports to the Team Leader and management within required timescales.
  • Operational Requirements
  • The objective of the role is to ensure all sites are visited regularly
  • Site coverage should be planned to ensure every site is visited in line with Ops Manager / National Account Manager directions

SKILLS:

  • Previous supervisory experience within the security industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure
  • Strong report-writing and administrative skills
  • Good knowledge of security operations and incident management
  • Ability to travel extensively across the contract area
  • Previous experience working on utility or critical infrastructure contracts
  • Experience conducting audits, inspections, and employee reviews

LICENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Valid SIA Security Guarding, Door Supervisor, or equivalent licence
  • CCTV Licence is Desirable
  • First Aid at Work qualification is Desirable

INTERVIEW REQUIREMENTS:

  • Eligibility documents needed at interview: Passport or Full Birth Certificate; Utility Bill showing current address and dated within 3 months; Proof of National Insurance (Payslips cannot be used) such as NI card, P45, P60, benefits or HMRC letter.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • You must be able to provide a checkable 5-year employment and address history for vetting purposes (this can include full-time education or periods when claiming benefits).
