THE ROLE
To ensure the safety and security of the building, its visitors and staff by providing a professional and proactive security service through active patrolling and guarding.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Continually and pro-actively patrol and monitor all areas of responsibility to ensure the safety and security of the building, visitors and staff, maintaining a visible presence
- Undertake security patrols and fixed post duties, completing required security and safety checks
- Ensure appropriate action is taken to manage any areas of concern
- Undertake rapid response, for example to incidents and emergencies
- Respond to alarm activations, for example fire, security and display alarms;
- Manage conflict, and if required, use physical intervention and ejection from the building as a final resort
- Support visitor safety tasks, including crowd and protest management.
- To take active steps to maintain communication, recognise achievement and develop the Amulet Community.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of all site procedures and ensure these are effectively implemented
- Submit required reports, including Health and Safety and incident reports
- Any other reasonable duties as assigned.
SKILLS
- You are computer literate, with the ability to effectively use Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- You have evidence of strong organizational and time management skills.
- You can demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills.
- You take an 'investigative' and 'can do' approach and attitude to all tasks.
- You can work as part of a site team, whilst demonstrating initiative and ability to work independently when required.
- You are able to work under pressure and meet deadlines within a very busy work environment.
LICENCE REQUIREMENTS
- You must have a current SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
