PAY RATE: £13.65 per hour
HOURS: Mon- Sun 3 day shift 3 night 3 off Day shift 06:45am to 18.45pm Night shift 18.45pm to 06.45am
THE ROLE: Working within our client’s Alarm Receiving Centre facility, based at Gelderd Road, Leeds. The ARC CCTV operator role would ideally suit someone with security control room or call centre experience and able to complete security reception/concierge duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To provide overall operations and monitoring of CCTV, alarms, Lone-worker and OOH systems.
- To use the CCTV equipment proactively and to its optimum level to detect and deter crime, anti-social behaviour, and threat to life situations.
- To work with external agencies in relation to service operational matters, predominantly the police.
- To perform all required system checks, duties allocated and to deal with and document all enquiries and elevate as required.
- To use the CCTV and alarm software, to help detect and deter crime and anti-social behaviour and provide high quality evidence to allow enforcement agencies to investigate and prosecute offenders.
- To respond to calls and assist in the resolution of issues, access requests, fault and incident reporting or timely passing on of information to relevant parties, to ensure all matters are escalated accordingly.
- To maintain flexibility and a willingness to work additional hours if required.
- To provide a physical security presence within the site compound and offices.
- To provide reception and concierge duties, within the site offices.
- Monitor fire, security alarms, and camera activated alarms, alongside any other alarms and carry out the required, documented action to resolve the issue.
- To regulate access control to the site compound and building, by use of the intercom and CCTV system, restricting access to client staff, permitted contractors and expected visitors.
- To log all visitors, on the database provided, issuing visitor passes and swipe cards, as requested.
SKILLS:
- You must be capable of dealing with a variety of situations in a calm and professional manner.
- You will have strong customer service focused attention to detail and the initiative to both identify and implement best practice.
- You can communicate clearly and effectively, attaining a good standard of verbal and written English.
- You have good organisational and record-keeping skills.
- You are IT literate and able to use Microsoft Office applications.
- You are always well-presented.
LICENCE REQUIREMENTS: SIA and CCTV Licence is Essential
INTERVIEW REQUIREMENTS: Eligibility documents needed at interview: Passport or Full Birth Certificate; Utility Bill showing current address and dated within 3 months; Proof of National Insurance (Payslips cannot be used) such as NI card, P45, P60, benefits or HMRC letter.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: You must be able to provide check‑able 5‑year employment history for vetting purposes (this can include full‑time education or periods in receipt of benefits).
