JOB TITLE: Security Officer

LOCATION: Kidderminster

TYPE: Term Time only

PAY RATE: £12.60 per hour

WORKING PATTERN: Weekdays Term time only

Monday – 17:00 -21:15

Tuesday – 17:00 – 21:15

Wednesday – 18:00 to 21:15

Thursday – 18:00 to 21:15

THE ROLE:

We are looking for an experienced security officer to join out team. Taking pride in providing a professional security service to our client, you will undertake a range of duties to include front of house security; concierge meet & greet of customers, visitors and contractors; staff and customer security check.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as a first point of contact for customer information
  • Physical patrols ensuring a safe environment.
  • Creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere
  • Responding to customer inquiries or requests
  • Implement and enforce loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and damages.
  • Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies or disturbances, taking appropriate action and liaising with law enforcement when necessary.
  • Manage access control systems, ensuring only authorised personnel enter restricted areas maintaining the security of entrances and exists.
  • Resolving any issues or complaints in a friendly and professional manner
  • Working alongside a team
  • Maintain detailed records of security related incidents.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services as needed, providing necessary information and support during investigations

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • You are able to communicate clearly and effectively, attaining a good standard of verbal and written English.
  • You are capable of dealing with a variety of situations.
  • You have good organisational and record-keeping skills.
  • You are IT literate and able to use Microsoft Office applications.
  • You are always well-presented.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:You must be able to provide a checkable 5-year employment history for vetting purposes (this can include full-time education or periods when claiming benefits).

LICENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • You must have a current SIA Door Supervisor Licence.
  • Possession of a First Aid at Work Certificate and/or Fire Marshal is desirable.

INTERVIEW REQUIREMENTS: Eligibility documents needed at interview: Passport or Full Birth Certificate; Utility Bill showing current address and dated within 3 months; Proof of National Insurance (Payslips cannot be used) such as NI card, P45, P60, benefits or HMRC letter.
