About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded People Team Business Partner to join our People Team. This is a key role within the business, leading on employee relations and acting as the senior point of expertise for complex and sensitive people matters. You’ll work closely with managers across the organisation to provide practical, solutions-focused advice, ensuring a consistent and compliant approach to people management. You’ll also play a pivotal role in organisational change activity, team leadership and continuous improvement across the People function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Employee Relations
    • Lead and manage complex employee relations cases (disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence and appeals)
    • Act as the senior advisor on ER matters, managing cases through to resolution
    • Coach and support managers to build confidence in handling people issues
    • Support employment tribunal cases and liaise with external legal advisors where needed
  • Organisational Change
    • Support and lead restructuring, redundancy and TUPE processes end-to-end
    • Provide guidance to managers on organisational design and change initiatives
    • Ensure all activity is delivered compliantly and with clear communication
  • People Operations & Compliance
    • Support the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding through to offboarding
    • Oversee HR systems and ensure employee data is accurate and GDPR compliant
    • Manage visa sponsorship activity and ensure compliance with Home Office requirements
    • Produce people data and insights to support decision-making
  • Team Leadership
    • Manage and support the Associate People Team Business Partner and People Team Executive
    • Conduct regular 1:1s and performance reviews
    • Allocate and prioritise workload across the team

About You

Experience & Knowledge

  • Proven experience in a HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor role
  • Strong employee relations expertise, including complex case management
  • Experience delivering organisational change, including redundancy and TUPE
  • Experience managing or mentoring HR team members
  • Solid knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Experience with visa sponsorship and immigration compliance

  • Confident handling sensitive and complex situations
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities

Qualifications

  • CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience) essential
  • CIPD Level 7 desirable
