Job Purpose:

Reporting to the PAS 2030 Inspections Manager the PAS / MCS Inspector is responsible for carrying out technical inspections and surveillance for a range of energy insulation measures in accordance with The Amtivo Group Best Practice Guidance, MCS AND PAS Standards and TrustMark Extension to ensure continued compliance in line with PAS2030/31 and 2035 requirements. Through a development programme there will be training opportunities to further expand your knowledge of all insulation measures.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out quality inspection to comply with the required surveillance rates in line with performance objectives and department KPIs.
  • Good Health and Safety practice and awareness of relevant regulation, providing briefing notes as appropriate.
  • Carry out customer guarantee complaint investigations in a timely manner and prepare detailed reports of findings, conclusions and resolutions.

Administration:

  • Carry out appointments in conjunction with the diary allocated by the planning team to maximise productivity.
  • Complete required surveillance of installers in accordance with Amtivo Group process.
  • Complete client review documents maintaining a record.
  • Ensure all reports are submitted in a timely and effective manner in line with SLA.
  • Comply with all procedures and processes and identify when changes and updates are required.

Communication/Relationships:

  • Working as a team to communicate and support the company vision whilst working closely with managers and colleagues.
  • Act as a mentor and trainer to colleagues when required and make suggestions to develop products and customer service.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • In depth knowledge of the energy efficiency industry, technical requirements and standards, including knowledge of insulation systems and techniques.
  • Familiarity with Health & Safety issues and the PAS and MCS standards.
  • NVQ in energy efficient measure is essential.
  • Ideally MCS qualified, however training may be available for the right candidate.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to work unsupervised.
  • Demonstrate good IT skills and ability to analyse data and prepare reports.
  • Good interpersonal skills, documentation and administrative skills and attention to detail.
  • Clean driving license.

  • To undergo training and development in line with the needs of the business.
  • To assist with other duties within the scope and nature of the position.
