We’re looking for an Associate People Partner to support managers and employees across the UK, providing practical HR guidance and leading on day‑to‑day employee relations. This is a developmental HR Business Partner role, ideal for someone ready to grow their partnering capability and take on increasing ownership across the employee lifecycle.
What you’ll be doing
- Act as the first point of contact for managers on everyday People matters.
- Advise on policies, procedures, and employment best practice.
- Support performance management, absence, probation, and conduct issues.
- Lead low–medium complexity ER cases, including investigations and reports.
- Guide managers through disciplinary and grievance processes.
- Support performance reviews, development planning, and capability improvement.
- Contribute to People projects such as policy updates, engagement and wellbeing initiatives, and organisational change.
- Help maintain a positive workplace environment across key sites.
- Ensure compliance with employment law and internal policies.
- Support core HR processes and identify opportunities to improve employee experience.
What you’ll bring
- Experience in a people-focused role (HR Advisor/Officer or similar).
- CIPD Level 5.
- Strong understanding of UK employment law fundamentals.
- Experience leading ER investigations.
- Confident communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships.
- Professionalism, discretion, and strong organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with stakeholders at all levels.
Desirable
- Experience managing disciplinary or grievance processes end‑to‑end.
- Experience using HR systems and people data.
