AMTIS is supporting a high‑profile organisation in the search for an experienced Senior Data Protection Manager. This is a hybrid‑remote contract position open to candidates based anywhere in the UK with low on site working.

What You’ll Lead

  • Developing policies, frameworks and governance standards for departments across the organisation.
  • Partnering with project teams to deliver high‑quality DPIAs, risk assessments and practical data protection guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a senior escalation point for the central data protection function.
  • Filter and manage data protection queries through an established policy matrix.
  • Provide commercially‑aligned GDPR advice to Legal, Marketing, Sales, Finance, IT and Operations.
  • Drive GDPR compliance and maintain enterprise‑level governance frameworks.
  • Lead complex DPIAs across BAU and project work.
  • Manage intricate DSARs, identifying hotspots and emerging risks.
  • Support the management of data breaches, advising on appropriate actions and mitigation.

What We’re Looking For

  • Extensive experience in data protection, GDPR and information governance.
  • Track record of designing and embedding policies and frameworks in complex environments.
  • Confident working with senior stakeholders and cross‑functional teams.
  • Strong background in DPIAs, DSARs, breach handling and risk mitigation.
