The role of the Senior Recruiter Investment Banking - Early Careers & Campus is to deliver recruitment services in line with agreed service levels and campaigns. This will involve utilising recruitment technology applications and agreed end-to-end processes to provide recruitment services for graduate and intern programmes for the business lines it will support.
A key component of this role is to manage the selection process of candidates from within the marketplace to agreed campaign timelines. This is a key role that requires a responsive and client-facing individual.
Working closely and collaboratively with the wider team, the Senior Recruiter will strategically campaign manage across their Early Careers programmes, overseeing campus event activity, pipeline management, assessment centres, on-boarding and candidate and hiring manager satisfaction during the end-to-end process.
Key Accountabilities- Responsible for following the end-to-end recruitment process including:
- Working with the Manager and client hiring managers to support the annual recruitment and forecasting process and business requirements
- Manage client presence at target universities, ensuring at all times we are getting value for money out of the agreements and our listings are positioned for maximum effectiveness; measure and own the reporting on response rates
- Oversight of relevant talent pools
- Work closely with Campus Recruitment counterparts to strategically align events, attraction materials and programmes where possible
- Foster and manage internal relationships with BU Stakeholders and HR Business Partners, being their main point of contact for queries & support
- Custodian of client EVP, ensuring the proposition conveyed is compelling and is followed through the entire recruitment life cycle
- Ownership on making sure the recruitment system accurately reflects the status of all selection activity
- Oversee the screening of candidates completed by the Business/ Screening team, as well as screening candidates where relevant
- Accountability of the end-to-end interview and assessment selection process, utilising the appropriate exercises and tools
- Produce timely and accurate activity and management information reporting
- Oversee and manage the candidate pool in line with divisional and firm wide diversity goals
- Accountability of the offer and on-boarding of early careers candidates
- Regularly review assessment methodology and materials to ensure the process is fit for purpose
- Identify areas of process improvement, service enhancement and opportunities to increase the scope of the service and communicate these to the Manager
- Manage the Intern performance review process and facilitate the conversion process
- Pastoral support for Interns including quarterly catch ups & ongoing development
- Provide a high level of candidate care by ensuring best practice selection methods are followed and appropriate frequent communication is deployed
- Build a good understanding of client’s businesses and skills required by candidates to succeed within them
- Build collaborative relationships with hiring managers and manage issues, escalating as required
- Obtain feedback from stakeholders on how service can be improved
- Custodian of client EVP, ensuring the proposition conveyed is compelling and is followed through the entire recruitment life cycle
- Understands AMS people are a key market differentiator and is genuinely committed to aligning team behaviour to the AMS values
- Mentor / guide members of team on best practice approaches, client culture and support them in achieving success in their roles
- Support the rest of the team on an ongoing basis to achieve targets and goals
- Escalate any issues to the Manager in relation to issues with the supply of recruitment services
- Manage a Campus Coordinator, both directing work and monitoring performance in conjunction with the Account Manager and the Campus Recruitment Manager
- Add value to your business area through awareness and understanding of recruitment skills, trends and graduate market knowledge
- Conduct ad-hoc market research as directed by Manager
- Identifying areas of process improvement, service enhancement, related strategic projects and opportunities
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and SLAs
You’ll need to demonstrate:
- Proven significant recruitment experience (4+ years)
- Effective English business communication skills, with the ability to negotiate with and influence others and be clear, engaging and professional in written and oral communications.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft packages; Outlook, Word, Excel
- Demonstrated client service focus with the ability to develop relationships with people from diverse backgrounds
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities in a demanding environment
- Working knowledge of recruitment technology and systems
- Project management experience is a plus
- Familiarity with the Financial / Professional Services sector is a plus
