Proactive Talent Sourcer – Global Technology Leader

Assignment length: 6 months.

We are currently seeking an experienced Proactive Talent Sourcer to support a global technology leader who helps the world stay connected and secure. Our client provides advanced network testing, monitoring, and assurance technology to ensure performance and reliability of the world's most critical communications infrastructure.

From accelerating 6G innovation, fibre broadband, to cloud data centres and mission‑critical defence communications, our client plays a vital role in powering and protecting the world's digital infrastructure.

This position provides an opportunity to specialise in a highly technical, engineering‑led environment, where you will be identifying and engaging niche, hard‑to‑find talent across RF, optical, software, and network engineering disciplines. The role requires a strong ability to quickly understand complex technical requirements, operate confidently within a global talent market, and leverage data insights and advanced Boolean search techniques to uncover hidden and passive talent.

Key Accountabilities

  • Work closely with Recruiters to build effective working relationships that deliver a strong candidate and hiring manager experience.
  • Use sourcing experience, market knowledge, and available resources to support the development and execution of effective sourcing strategies.
  • Provide talent insights and sourcing expertise during recruitment discussions and vacancy briefing calls, gaining a clear understanding of role requirements and key selling points.
  • Engage confidently with hiring managers and stakeholders, contributing practical sourcing solutions for niche and competitive skillsets.
  • Be accountable for delivering high‑quality, engaged candidate shortlists, providing accurate information to support informed hiring decisions.
  • Share candidate feedback and sourcing challenges with Recruiters and Hiring Managers to support ongoing recruitment discussions.
  • Apply innovative and critical thinking to identify and engage both active and passive talent in the market.
  • Review and post accurate and engaging job adverts that attract relevant candidates.
  • Use appropriate sourcing channels and professional networks, such as LinkedIn, to attract and engage target talent.
  • Use data and insights to review sourcing effectiveness and refine approaches where required.
  • Proactively headhunt niche talent using multiple engagement channels, including LinkedIn, email, and phone.
  • Conduct high‑quality, consultative conversations with candidates to assess skills, experience, and suitability for current or future roles.
  • Build talent pools and maintain candidate relationships to support future hiring needs.
  • Present candidate information accurately and clearly to Recruiters and Hiring Managers.
  • Track sourcing activity, progress, and outcomes across relevant systems.
  • Champion candidates by maintaining honest, professional career conversations throughout the process.
  • Keep candidates informed and engaged as they progress through the recruitment process.

Skills & Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience as a technical or specialist sourcer within complex hiring environments.
  • Strong capability in direct and proactive sourcing strategies, including talent mapping and headhunting approaches.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Boolean search and advanced sourcing techniques across multiple channels and platforms.
  • Ability to quickly understand, interpret, and communicate complex technical hiring requirements.
  • Experience sourcing within engineering led or highly technical environments.
  • Strong candidate engagement and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Comfort working on roles aligned to defence and mission critical technologies.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
