The Role
As a Principal Sourcing Specialist, you’ll take a leading role in driving proactive, direct sourcing for niche and senior‑level legal positions within a professional services environment. You’ll act as a strategic partner to the business, leveraging data, market intelligence, and deep talent insights to shape sourcing strategies, influence hiring decisions, and deliver exceptional outcomes.
Key Accountabilities
What you’ll be doing
- Leading proactive, direct sourcing strategies for niche and high-touch legal roles
- Partnering closely with senior stakeholders to understand complex and evolving hiring needs
- Acting as a client‑facing talent advisor within the client business, providing guidance and expertise
- Managing end‑to‑end searches that require resilience, persistence, and strong attention to detail
- Delivering market insights, sourcing solutions, and talent mapping to support informed decision‑making
- Presenting data, progress updates, and recommendations clearly, confidently, and with commercial awareness
- Building and maintaining strong talent pipelines for hard‑to‑fill roles through targeted sourcing activity
- Representing AMS professionally as the embedded sourcing expert onsite
Skills & Experience
What you’ll need to be successful
- Extensive legal sourcing experience, including securing talent across Commercial Insurance, Commercial (Construction, Real Estate, Finance) and Insurance Services (Cat Loss, MAJIC) within the UK&I. (must-have)
- Proven experience delivering proactive, direct sourcing for niche roles (must-have)
- Confidence working in a client‑facing role with senior stakeholders (must-have)
- Strong ability to gather and present data, insights, and sourcing recommendations to senior audiences (must-have)
- Ability to utilize multiple sourcing tools and legal specific content inc. LinkedIn, Hintro, Piricle, Legal 500 etc. to Support candidate engagement (must-have)
- A highly detail‑oriented approach with the resilience to stay focused on complex searches (must-have)

- A strong interest in the legal sector and market trends
