The role of the Principal Event Specialist in Early Careers Recruitment Marketing is to deliver agreed recruitment services in line with agreed service levels and campaigns. This will involve taking responsibility for the conceptual design and execution of all early careers events leveraging student insight data and market best‐practice to guide our strategy.

A key component of this role is end‐to‐end ownership of the EMEA‐wide early careers events calendar and, in collaboration with various counterparts, serve as the central point of contact for all events and recruitment marketing queries. The specialist will also engage and influence stakeholders, mobilising event staffing in consultation with the early careers leads to support and represent at all events including panels, presentations, office visits, workshops, and career fairs.

Key Accountabilities

What you’ll be doing:

  • Drive the planning and execution of early careers recruitment events (virtual and in person) and event marketing initiatives (career fairs, flagship presentations, pop‐up installations, simulations, webinars) including collateral, ensuring brand consistency across all channels – key point of contact for approvals for the Recruitment team.
  • Project Manager for the Virtual Event Series, owning end‐to‐end event execution including stakeholder management, creative design, content development, promotion, speaker selection and briefings, multimedia liaison, managing live event, post‐event reporting, and keep‐warm follow‐up.
  • Create dedicated event communications including invites, pre‐event and post‐event communications that can be leveraged by the team. Prepare event memos and supporting materials (meeting memos, presentations, briefing documents, etc.). Ensure all relevant approvals have been obtained.
  • Oversee the tracking and monitoring of event and sponsorship spend.
  • Central oversight of the events and staffing tracker and develop a post‐event engagement plan, holding weekly meetings with the Recruiters to ensure full alignment on activations and event‐related deliverables.
  • Attend events on and off campus and in virtual settings on behalf of the client as required.
  • Work closely with the EMEA Head of Early Careers and Early Careers Recruitment Marketing Lead on the execution of pre‐university events.
  • Analyse reports, event feedback and insights data to assess return on investment on events to drive data‐led decisions across all early careers recruitment marketing initiatives – present accordingly to key stakeholders.
  • Manage all merchandise for events – selection of items + purchase, ensuring all branded items are in line with the Client's brand and approved by Firm Marketing.
Client Focus

Frequent communication to key stakeholders to ensure full visibility of our events programme. Build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders such as Recruitment, Firm Marketing and Global RM and manage issues, escalating as required. Obtain feedback from managers and event attendees on how service can be improved. Custodian of client EVP, ensuring the proposition conveyed is compelling and is followed through the campus event calendar. Review and analyse campaign data to identify opportunities for improvement.

Team

Understands AMS people are a key market differentiator and is genuinely committed to aligning team behaviour to the AMS charter. Manage/mentor/guide members of the event team on best‐practice approaches, client culture and support them in achieving success in their roles. Escalate any issues to the Manager in relation to issues with the supply of recruitment services.

Skills & Experience

You’ll need to demonstrate:

  • Experience managing events within a large, complex, and matrixed environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence, collaborate and manage multiple senior stakeholders.
  • Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities to track performance, outcomes and effectiveness.
  • Project management expertise, including planning, execution, timelines and cross‐functional coordination.
  • Budget ownership and management experience, ensuring cost‐effective delivery and financial governance.
  • Highly organised, detail‐oriented, and demonstrates strong attention to detail in all aspects of work.
Nice to Haves

Experience with campus events, university partnerships, or early careers/graduate recruitment. Experience working within a Professional Services or Financial Services environment.
