Overview

Job Title: Recruiter – Early Careers & Campus

Location: UK, Manchester client site, 3 days per week

Working hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours/week

Employment Type: Permanent

This role supports client hiring managers with campus/early careers hiring demand and aims to deliver high-quality recruitment services in line with agreed service levels.

Role. The role includes planning and executing campus recruitment activities, managing stakeholder relationships, and delivering excellent recruitment services to the client. You will act as the custodian of candidate quality and the hiring manager experience, working with onsite and offshore campus colleagues. You will work closely with the Manager (CSM), Senior Manager (SM), offshore Team Leads (TL), senior recruiters, and coordinators to ensure high-quality recruitment services and a smooth recruitment process.

Responsibilities

  • Client Stakeholder Relationships
    • Create and maintain trusted partner relationships with hiring managers/client stakeholders.
    • Ensure end-to-end delivery of campus recruitment services, providing counsel and SME knowledge on the recruitment process; identify and meet timelines.
    • Discuss attraction strategies, collaborating with TL, CSM/SM and Head of Early Careers to determine market-based approaches.
    • Partner with TL, CSM/SM to build strong relationships with all stakeholders, attend regular calls, and understand the process and service satisfaction.
  • Internal Stakeholder Relationships
    • Monitor funnel metrics with admin team to identify bottlenecks and address them proactively.
    • Collaborate with CoE teams (e.g., Philippines/Poland) to ensure smooth client and candidate experience.
    • Coach Coordinators on best practices and client culture; support their success.
    • Be the key contact for reporting needs of CSM/SM, including governance and data requests.
  • Recruitment Delivery
    • Deliver services in line with contractual obligations and SLAs.
    • Lead vacancy consultation discussions with TL/CSM/SM to plan recruitment with hiring managers and document intake outcomes.
    • Collaborate with campus recruitment team to deliver high-quality candidate shortlists through to Assessment Centre.
    • Provide an excellent candidate experience with onsite coordinators and the Philippines team; manage satisfaction from assessment to start date.
    • Assist hiring managers with decisions and offers; lead calibrations and the offer process to close candidates.
    • Identify and escalate stakeholder issues; use judgment to escalate appropriately.
  • Technology and Compliance
    • Track candidate status and requisition updates in all relevant systems in real time.
    • Support account management by identifying and flagging scope creep.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable legislation and data management practices.
    • Identify, track, and manage compliance risks within the AMS Risk Management Framework; escalate and document issues in real time.

Qualifications

Must haves

  • Experience of high-volume end-to-end recruitment delivery with a focus on early careers and campus
  • Understanding of campus marketing/attraction strategies (events, networking, social media, university relations)
  • Experience using recruitment technology
  • An awareness of and basic understanding of the need for compliance and legislation

Nice to have

  • Experience in a highly complex or matrixed organisation
  • Experience of working with remote teams
  • Experience of using databases
  • Demonstrated interest in learning about the market and industry to provide insights
  • Understanding of legislation affecting an area of work (e.g., age discrimination, contractor employment risks, OFCCP)
