Our client is looking for an organised and practical Stores Operative to join their team. This is a varied role covering goods-in, stores, supporting manufacturing with components and materials, stock control and despatch. Previous experience in an similar role is important though additional training can be give as is experience of using computerised stock control systems. You will be highly organised and able to work accurately to systems and processes with a practical, hands-on approach and good problem-solving skills, able to work well as part of a small team. THE ROLE: Responsibilities will include: * Receiving and checking incoming goods and deliveries. * Booking materials into the stores system and maintaining accurate stock records. * Storing and organising components and materials. * Picking and supplying parts to production and assembly areas. * Packing finished goods and preparing orders for despatch. * Loading and unloading deliveries where required. * Carrying out stock checks and reporting discrepancies or shortages. * Working to production, stores and despatch schedules. * Communicating effectively with colleagues across the business.
