Overview
Due to growth my client is looking for an additional sales engineer.
This would suit someone with an engineering background / understanding who is a good communicator and may have worked in customer facing roles previously such as sales engineering / projects engineering / proposals etc.
THE OPPORTUNITY
My client designs and manufactures bespoke special purpose equipment for a range of industries thoughout the UK and need a sales engineer with a strong engineering background who is able to respond quickly and professionally to customers.
You will work closely with customer\\\’s engineering teams to provide engineering solutions to their issues and ensure the project runs smoothly until their solution is commissioned and operational.
This role is base at my client\\\’s facility with some travel to customer sites.
Responsibilities
- Manage sales enquiries and projects from enquiry to order.
- Review technical and project data, responding quickly and professionally to customers with proposed solutions.
- After product familiarisation, identify and develop sales opportunities with existing and new customers, compile and present quotations.
- Maintain accurate and detailed technical and customer information.
- Liaise with all internal departments to ensure projects run smoothly and customers are communicated with well at every stage.
Qualifications
- A solid engineering background / understanding (ideally with some level of engineering qualification) and the ability to understand technical information and communicate with engineers and customers.
- Excellent communication skills by telephone and email and enjoy speaking with customers.
- Good IT literacy and the ability to present well written, attractive documentation.
- The ability to manage and keep a tight handle on multiple projects concurrently.
