My client is looking for a motivated and ambitious Health and Safety Advisor with strong operational experience of delivering Health and Safety support and compliance in manufacturing, logistics or similar industry sectors. This is an excellent opportunity if you are looking for a new challenge where you can step up into additional health and safety responsibility.
The role: In this key role you will be able to work with a high degree of autonomy also effectively as part of the operations team, monitoring all aspects of Health and Safety across the operation to ensure compliance, the achievement of key targets and to make sure that systems and controls continue to be improved and developed to meet future operational and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing information, advice, guidance and training to managers and all staff in all areas of Health and Safety compliance.
- Accident and near miss investigation, identify corrective and preventive actions and drive their implementation.
- Recording information and reporting on computerised systems.
- Assess training requirements, maintain training records and where appropriate deliver or organise Health and Safety training.
- Contribute to the development and rollout of improved processes and procedures for managing Health and Safety throughout the organisation.
- PPE checks, provision and records.
Candidate requirements: We are looking for someone with ideally some Health and Safety training and qualifications and solid operational experience who is keen to learn and develop themselves further as well as adding value. You will be able to prioritise your work and be capable of ensuring tasks, cases and projects are completed successfully and effectively without affecting operational performance. Some flexibility in working hours may be needed to meet the requirements of the business. You will enjoy a challenging and varied role with opportunities to develop your capability further.
