Senior Operator in Dudley

THE ROLE: Senior Operator - 6 month fixed term contract My client is looking for a senior operator to take a key role in the production of high quality components for the aerospace industry in a semi-automated production environment. This would suit someone with experience in an engineering or manufacturing production environment who is technically competent, has worked with production equipment, can perform visual and automated quality inspections and maintain documentation. You will be responsible for ensuring that high standards of health and safety are maintained. You will work a double day shift and occasional holiday cover may be required. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - Experience in a technical production environment in the engineering or manufacturing industry. - Working to standard operating procedures (SOP's) and willing to undertake training. - Conducting quality inspections, maintaining quality standards and documentation and reporting on quality. - Following production and maintenance schedules. - Ensuring high standards of health and safety. Also desirable would be: - Experience of working to aerospace standards. - Engineering background. - First Aid and Fire Marshal training. You will have a strong sense of responsibility for safety, quality and working tidily, have good attention to detail and be a practical problem-solver. You should be a good team player with flexibility and computer literacy. You must be willing to undergo DBS and other checks. Opportunities may become available to extend the contract
