As Business Unit Automotive Solutions & Lamps, we support our vision and strategy by expanding our leading position in the automotive lighting market in OEM and Aftermarket. We are in a global leadership position in the automotive lamps business in traditional and LED applications and offer industry-leading products in LED lighting to global OEM customers. We also tackle new growth opportunities in the Aftermarket with our automotive care and equipment portfolio. We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Head of Trade Aftermarket to lead and develop our UK Aftermarket Business Unit.
Managing a team of five, you will drive strategic growth across a portfolio of key customers including buying groups, distributors, specialists, and independent motor factors. This role carries full P&L responsibility and plays a critical part in delivering long-term business growth.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute the UK Trade Aftermarket strategy to drive revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Manage strategic customer relationships, including ITG members and key accounts.
- Own contract negotiations, commercial agreements, and business reviews.
- Deliver annual promotional plans in collaboration with Product and Marketing teams.
- Monitor campaign performance and optimise sales and marketing effectiveness.
- Ensure successful product launches and strong in-store and online execution.
- Drive continuous business growth by identifying new opportunities and mitigating risks.
- Oversee forecasting, reporting, and performance tracking for the business unit.
- Proven leadership experience in the Automotive Aftermarket (essential).
- Strong commercial acumen with full P&L ownership experience.
- Strategic thinker with a track record of delivering growth.
- Experienced in managing omni-channel customers (trade, retail, e-commerce).
- Skilled negotiator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
- Strong networker with the ability to build long-term partnerships.
- Highly organised, results-driven, and operates with integrity.
