Summary

  • Support patient ward rounds e.g. Nurse led C. difficile ward rounds and AMS ward rounds
  • Administration of novel CDI therapies such as Faecal Microbiota transplants
  • Advising and supporting staff with IPC issues
  • Completing IPC audits and surveillance and engaging with ward and departments to support their delivery of remedial action plans
  • Teaching on related study days and delivery and review of educational packages once confident to do so
  • Division and system wide meeting attendance and participation
  • Exposure to external IPC conferences and regional meetings
  • Completion of post infection reviews
  • Management and monitoring of outbreaks
  • Leading and supporting quality improvement projects
  • System wide working with key stakeholders and partners including UKHSA, Occupational Health, NHSE
  • Engagement in Trust wide shared decision making
  • Undertake research and writing for publication
