We are looking for a Product Cost Reporting and Forecasting Finance Manager for an initial 12-month contract, based hybrid in Derby on behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet’s vital power needs., An exciting secondment opportunity for a Finance Manager to join the Product Cost Finance team. Reporting to the Head of Finance – Product Cost, you will manage a team partnering with the multiple stakeholders in the cost arena across the organisation, disseminating information into a concise and consistently understood message.
Product Cost is a key metric for the Civil Aerospace business and the Product Cost Finance team sits at the heart of the cost landscape supporting both the value streams and Manufacturing Business Units in their product cost journey. It is focused on adding value by managing complex data sources to provide essential information and insight to drive improvements in product cost outcomes. It is crucial in maintaining data integrity.
As a Product Cost Reporting and Forecasting Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:

Leading on the consolidated reporting of product cost to the main business units and Procurement, identifying the main drivers behind any gaps and by utilising the data of the Product Cost system (CRISP).

Leading the cost forecasting processes, both short and long term, providing the necessary information to support business requirements and timescales.

Acting as the key data steward to maintain the integrity of the cost data help in the Product Cost system (CRISP).

Being accountable for the delivery of complete, accurate and timely ad-hoc analysis on product cost performance, predominantly sourced from the CRISP system.

Partnering with the Manufacturing Operations and Procurement cost teams and supporting them with the interpretation of product cost information to enable us to provide insightful product cost reporting to the business.

Driving a culture of continuous improvement in identifying and managing major process improvement activities in relation to the CRISP system and associated reporting.

Managing, developing and motivating a team of finance professionals ensuring an appropriately managed workload, providing support and development opportunities as required.

Ensuring data integrity of financial cost information is maintained through appropriate governance.

Experience of directly leading, supporting and developing a team.

Experience of handling large datasets on Excel and therefore have advanced Excel competency.

Experience and understanding of costing principles in a manufacturing environment.

Power BI experience is advantageous.
