Assistant Client Manager in Droylsden

We’re looking for an experienced Assistant Client Manager to support the management of a varied portfolio of limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining hands‑on technical accounting with client relationship management. You’ll take responsibility for high‑quality financial outputs, help ensure key deadlines are met and support the development of junior colleagues. The role also provides a clear opportunity to build the skills and experience needed to progress into a Client Manager position.

What you’ll be doing

• Acting as a key point of contact for day‑to‑day client queries




• Supporting the onboarding of new clients




• Attending client meetings independently and alongside senior colleagues




• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and year‑end files




• Preparing and reviewing corporation tax and self‑assessment returns




• Overseeing monthly and quarterly management accounts




• Delegating and reviewing work completed by junior accountants and trainees




• Providing constructive feedback, mentoring and development support




• Helping the team manage workflow and meet statutory deadlines

What we’re looking for

• You’ll have at least three years’ experience within a UK accountancy practice and be confident preparing and reviewing accounts and tax returns.




• You may be newly qualified or part‑qualified ACA or ACCA, AAT qualified, or qualified by experience. You’ll also need strong experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks and Sage, with knowledge of CCH beneficial.




• Most importantly, you’ll be organised, commercially aware and comfortable building trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.
