Senior Risk Manager - AMS Deutsche Bank

On behalf of Deutsche Bank, we are looking for a Operational Risk Senior Specialist, AVP for a 12 month contract based in London.

Purpose of the role:

As part of the IB Coverage – Business Line OR team, you will be involved in Business Process and Data Error operational risk management from the second line perspective. You will lead activities relating to various operational risk aspects in line with the non-financial risk management framework, with particular focus on transaction processing, leveraging your in-depth expertise of those areas. Focused on both the outcome and the process, you will collaborate across a wide range of stakeholders on key deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Business line engagement focusing on select operational risks.
• Partnering across the group with key stakeholders to develop insight into the key risk themes that are impacting the 1st line.
• Provide review and challenge of NFRM risk themes into the IB to help improve the resiliency of respective processes.
• Provide support for the 1st line where required on adoption of NFRM risk frameworks.
• Provide regulatory and external support of the topics, focusing on the risk management needs.
• Produce regular and ad hoc reporting and analysis supporting the risk identification and monitoring.
• Support the lead Senior risk managers with deliver of the operational risk framework execution

Skills and Qualifications

• A good understanding of Investment Bank operating processes and the connectivity into financial industry.
• Knowledge of Non-Financial Risk Management principles and practices, including operational risk management framework.
• Knowledge of transaction processing risks as a topic in the context of financial services
• Excellent analytical and communication skills including MS Excel and Powerpoint
• Experience of developing strong working relationships with stakeholders to facilitate successful risk management within the 3 Lines of Defence model
• Worked with Senior Stakeholders within a high pressure dynamic environment.
• Ability to translate business strategic changes into areas of emerging risks to support mitigation
