Our client is a well-known building society with headquarters in Swindon; as one of the largest savings and mortgage providers in the UK, 15 million members are at the heart of everything they do. On behalf of this organisation, AMS is looking for a Personal Assistant for a 3-month contract based in either London, Swindon, Glasgow or Newcastle - 2 days per week on site, remainder working from home.
Purpose of the role: To support the Director of Everyday Banking by delivering proactive, high-quality coordination that keeps priorities running seamlessly. This role ensures smooth management of schedules, travel, and administration, enabling a clear focus on strategic leadership in a fast-paced environment.
As a Personal Assistant you will be responsible for:
- Managing a busy and ever-changing diary for the Director, ensuring priorities are clear and time is used effectively.
- Coordinating end-to-end travel (UK and international), producing detailed and seamless itineraries.
- Handling expenses accurately and on time, in line with company policy.
- Overseeing the Director's inbox - prioritising, responding, and escalating where needed.
- Organising meetings and events, from scheduling and logistics to preparing materials.
- Keeping the Director's day-to-day activities running smoothly by anticipating needs and staying one step ahead.
What we require from the candidate:
- Experience working within a Personal Assistant position.
- Experience of working within fast-paced environments.
- Diary management.
- Booking travel and accommodation.
- Working within a team environment - occasionally taking the responsibility of other directors to cover annual leave.
- Financial Services experience is advantageous.
