On behalf of PwC, we are looking for a Procurement Delivery Lead - Contracts and Savings for a contract until the end of September 2026 based in Derbyshire 1 day per week and any PwC site across the UK once every 2 weeks.
Purpose of the role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Procurement Delivery Lead - Contracts & Savings to support a major transformation programme focused on delivering efficiencies, strengthening financial sustainability, and driving cost reduction across third-party spend. This is a hands-on delivery role requiring strong procurement, contract management, and commercial expertise. You will be responsible for identifying, prioritising, and delivering cashable savings opportunities while improving contract visibility, supplier performance, procurement controls, and spend governance.
What you'll do:
- Lead procurement and third-party spend savings initiatives across the organisation.
- Analyse spend, supplier, contract, and financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Review existing contracts, supplier arrangements, and procurement activity to maximise value and efficiency.
- Develop and implement savings plans, ensuring benefits are measurable and deliverable.
- Lead supplier engagement, contract negotiations, and commercial discussions.
- Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, demand management, sourcing improvements, and contract optimisation.
- Work closely with procurement, finance, operational teams, and senior stakeholders to drive delivery.
- Provide clear reporting, recommendations, and progress updates to programme leadership.
The skills you'll need:
- Proven experience delivering cashable savings through procurement, commercial, or contract management programmes.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, supplier management, and spend controls.
- Experience analysing spend and contract data to identify and deliver savings opportunities.
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive change across complex organisations.
- Experience balancing strategic recommendations with hands-on delivery and implementation.
- Excellent programme management skills, including planning, governance, risk management, and benefits tracking.
- Public sector experience is beneficial.
