On behalf of Computershare, we are looking for an Enterprise Architect for a 12 month contract based in either the Edinburgh or London office (hybrid model of 3 days onsite). Join us as an Enterprise Architect: The Enterprise Architect will lead the design and delivery of a next-generation AI ecosystem at enterprise scale, shaping how intelligent systems are embedded across every facet of the organisation. You will define the architectural vision, standards and guardrails that enable the creation of self-driving workflows, intelligent automation at scale and AI-native platforms. Your key responsibilities will include: Defining and owning the target architecture for enterprise AI, including model selection, model access, orchestration, APIs, and integration standards. Owning common AI methods, standards and platform components for reuse across the enterprise. Establishing architectural patterns for knowledge grounding, context stores vector databases, data pipelines and cloud infrastructure to support scalable AI solutions. Guiding teams toward building on governed, shared AI infrastructure. Providing architectural leadership across platform, engineering, data, and business teams to ensure AI solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned to enterprise standards. Helping embed the right foundations for observability, controls and secure integration as AI capabilities move into production. What you will bring to the role: Extensive experience in Enterprise or Solution Architecture, with a proven track record of designing and delivering large-scale AI, machine learning, cloud, or distributed technology solutions. Deep hands-on expertise in Generative AI technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), agentic systems, orchestration frameworks (such as LangChain or LlamaIndex), and vector databases. Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture practices, including architecture governance, target-state design, technology roadmaps and strategic technology decision-making. Demonstrated experience defining AI, data and platform architectures, including cloud-native solutions, APIs, integration patterns, shared services, and enterprise-scale infrastructure. Advanced understanding of AI governance, security, privacy, regulatory requirements and Responsible AI principles, with the ability to embed these controls into enterprise architectures. Expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS or Azure), together with strong software engineering, security architecture, MLOps, and LLMOps knowledge.
