Requirements
- Solid information security knowledge and capabilities across different industries.
- Significant information technology and information security experience.
- Ability to guide IT delivery partners through deployment where required.
- Ability to write and review reports, procedures, and standards.
- Industry-recognized security qualification such as CISSP, CISM, CISMP, SSCP, CISA, ISACA, CEH, or CompTIA Security.
- Demonstrable experience with security compliance regulations such as UK Government classification, GDPR, HIPAA, and EAR/ITAR.
- Practical knowledge of UK Government protective marking standards and industry standards including PCI-DSS, ISO/IEC 27001, NIST, CIS, and CESG.
- Awareness of common exploits and vulnerabilities, and how to prevent them.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that technology solutions, architectures, and security controls are designed to meet organisational, regulatory, and industry security standards.
- Provide architectural leadership across projects, ensuring alignment with ISO 27001, NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, and internal security policies.
- Work with the Cyber Architect and Assurance teams to design remediation and technical controls aligned to the relevant programme regulations.
- Collaborate closely with cyber business stakeholders to align with our cyber strategy and tooling.
- Work with the Compliance and Information Assurance lead and Project Security Officer to ensure the cyber solution meets defined security standards and controls.
- Ensure the cyber solution is ready for accreditation by the regulatory authority and apply Secure by Design principles.
- Liaise with and support architects in other project workstreams to ensure cyber requirements and considerations are incorporated.
- Take overall responsibility for the Cyber Solution Architecture for the programme.
- Review design documentation created by the Cyber Architect team and assess suitability against business requirements.
- Provide technical guidance to ensure compliance with relevant policies, standards, and regulations.
