On behalf of Tesco Bank, AMS are now looking for an AWS Engineer based in Edinburgh (Hybrid β 1 day per week in the office) for an initial contract length of 6 Months.
Job description β the role
Purpose of the role:
As AWS Engineer you will provide business as usual and day-to-day support for the bank within the dedicated AWS platform team. You will focus on building and managing AWS accounts, security, networking, and enabling cloud services for other teams.
Candidate Profile: Key accountabilities, skills & experience
What you\βll do:
* Build and manage AWS accounts for internal teams.
* Implement and manage security, networking, and infrastructure within AWS.
* Deploy and manage infrastructure through code and automation.
* Improve and maintain cloud security, authentication, and compliance.
* Support DevOps practices and infrastructure delivery.
* Operate within Agile sprints, managing work via Jira tickets.
The skills you\βll need:
* Strong knowledge of AWS infrastructure, with a particular focus on networking.
* Experience with AWS Control Tower and Identity Center.
* Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
* Proficiency with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible.
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
* Strong scripting skills in Python.
Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices.
