Job Description – The Role
TheFA&R team (Financial Accounting and Reporting), is part of Finance Operations within the newly formed Global Business Services, provides transactional finance support for the company and select joint ventures. The team plays a key role in delivering period-end financial statements, statutory and external reporting, and ensuring compliance with government requirements.
An opportunity has arisen within the team. While the workload follows a predictable cycle, it requires flexibility and a customer-focused mindset. The ideal candidate will be motivated to standardise, simplify, automate, and improve processes.

As an,Assistant Management Accountant Part-Qualified Accountantthe key responsibilities of the role will include:
Deliver end-to-end financial reporting for assigned sectors or business units, including preparation of actuals and external reports, general ledger processing, account reconciliations, and adherence to strict reporting deadlines.
Ensure all financial activities comply with internal control frameworks, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements, maintaining a strong control environment.
Act as a key point of contact for external auditors by preparing and providing requested documentation, explanations, and support during audit cycles.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing reporting accuracy, process efficiency, and automation.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of international accounting standards (e.g IFRS) and adapt to changes in financial systems, tools, and reporting processes.
What we require from the candidate:
- Part-Qualified or Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or relevant industry experience.
- Prior financial reporting.
- Finance background, ability to understand and explain basic accounting principles/double entry bookkeeping.
- Microsoft Excel experience.
- Audit experience is beneficial.
- Working knowledge of HFM / Hyperion software and SAP is beneficial.
- Experience of Blackline reconciliation software is beneficial.
