On behalf of Tesco Bank, AMS are now looking for a Project Manager based in Edinburgh or Glasgow for an initial contract length of 6 months.

Purpose of the role

Lead the planning and execution of cutover activities for a major transformation programme. Ensure all technology, business, and operational workstreams are fully prepared for go-live. Coordinate end-to-end readiness across teams, mitigating risk and driving successful deployment.

What you'll do:
  • Develop and manage the detailed cutover plan, runbook, timelines, and milestones.
  • Coordinate workstream readiness, environment preparation, data migration activities, and operational transition plans.
  • Lead go/no-go governance, checkpoints, and cutover rehearsals.
  • Drive command-centre activity during deployment and early life support.
  • Engage stakeholders across technology, operations, change, and senior leadership to ensure alignment and risk mitigation.
  • Produce cutover reporting, status updates, and decision materials for programme leadership.
Candidate Profile: Key accountabilities, skills & experience
  • Proven experience leading cutover activities on large-scale transformation, migration, or integration programmes.
  • Strong planning, governance, and risk management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple interdependent workstreams during time-sensitive deployment windows.
  • Experience running rehearsals, readiness assessments, command-centre activity, and hypercare.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across business and technology teams.
  • Background in financial services, retail banking, payments, or similarly regulated environments is desirable.
