The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking.On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Business Analyst-BBSI and ISA Reporting for a 12 Month contract based in Birmingham/Manchester, hybrid (2 days in the office).
Purpose of the role:
We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst Contractor to join our clients Banking team, supporting regulatory reporting initiatives with a focus on Individual Savings Accounts (ISAs) and BBSI/OI (Bank, Building Society Interest / Other Income). This role will report directly to the ATE Domestic Reporting Manager and play a key part in ensuring our compliance with HMRC regulations, while contributing to a range of strategic and operational projects.
What you'll do:
- Subject matter expert on ISA and BBSI/OI reporting requirements, ensuring alignment with HMRC regulations.
- Collaborate with the ATE Domestic Reporting Manager and cross-functional teams (Compliance, Operations, IT) to deliver accurate and timely reporting.
- Gather and document business requirements, data definitions, and process flows related to ISA and BBSI/OI reporting.
- Support the design, testing, and implementation of reporting solutions, including data validation and reconciliation activities.
- Analyse regulatory changes and assess their impact on existing reporting processes and systems.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to streamline and automate reporting workflows.
- Provide clear and concise updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment across projects.
The skills you'll need:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst within the banking sector, with a strong focus on regulatory reporting.
- In-depth knowledge of ISA regulations, and BBSI/OI reporting as defined by HMRC.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable business and technical specifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Text files, Access Database.
- Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and control frameworks.
- Understanding of retail banking products and customer data structures
