We are now looking for an Accounts Senior to join our growing team.
Role Overview
As an Accounts Senior, you will manage your own portfolio, prepare high‑quality accounts, support junior team members, and maintain strong client relationships. This role suits someone confident in FRS 102/1A/105 and experienced in a practice environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accounts files, corporation tax returns and directors’ personal tax returns for review.
- Meet clients regularly to discuss accounts and resolve queries.
- Review work completed by junior team members and provide feedback.
- Finalise files and reports following Director review.
- Ensure accounts and tax returns are submitted on time and in line with compliance procedures.
- Mentor apprentices and Accounts Seniors, supporting day‑to‑day team management.
- Manage workflow and client deadlines to ensure work is completed within budget.
- Monitor fee recovery and suggest adjustments where needed.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, keeping them updated throughout.
- Identify opportunities for cross‑selling AMS services.
Requirements
- 3 years accounts experience with a strong practice background.
- Solid knowledge of FRS 102, FRS 102 Section 1A and FRS 105.
- Experience with consolidations would be beneficial.
- Proven ability to maintain and develop client relationships.
- Experience mentoring or supervising colleagues.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Proactive, organised, and solutions‑focused.
