Swann-Morton Limited are looking for an Apprentice Electrician to complete a Level 3 Mechatronics Maintenance Technician apprenticeship. The candidate will be shadowing and assisting the electricians in many of their day-to-day roles, carrying out basic tasks where required. The Electrical Department is responsible for testing, maintaining, and repairing electrical machinery and equipment within the factory or office. The team also oversees the building’s electrical systems and provides essential maintenance and repairs to ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently.
Role & responsibilities:
- Learn and adhere to safety protocols and regulations
- Assist the Electrical team where required
- Carry out testing
- Work towards a diploma in an electrical field

Things to consider:
During the first year you will be required to attend the University of Sheffield AMRC Training Centre in Sheffield, full time for an initial block of study. You will return to your workplace one Friday per month. After the initial block training you will attend the AMRC Training Centre for one day a week to undertake the knowledge study. The remaining four days will be spent in company learning on the job.

- GCSE English language C or 4 or above
- GCSE Maths C or 4 or above
Applicants are also required to successfully complete a series of assessments at the University of Sheffield’s AMRC Training Centre, as well as an employer recruitment and selection process to secure a place on an apprenticeship programme.
