AESSEAL plc. are looking for an Engineering and Manufacturing Support Technician Apprentice to complete a Level 3 Engineering and Manufacturing Support Technician apprenticeship and join their team. As a member of the Design team at AESSEAL Rotherham, you will provide bespoke seal design for non-standard applications based on our standard product range.
Role & responsibilities:
- Modification of standard seals to suit non-standard equipment
- Bespoke seal design, using standard seal face geometry, for non-standard applications and equipment
- Design of special test equipment to suit specific applications
- Creation of new stock codes and special seal bills of materials to aid administration
- Daily liaison with internal and external customers (including end users, sales engineers, and distributors from the UK and overseas)
- Daily liaison with workshops and inspection departments on engineering issues for both standard and special seals; solving problems and agreeing concessions
- Assisting the Technical department with special seal enquiries
- Providing assistance to the assembly team on testing issues for standard and special seals
N.B this list is not exhaustive, the job holder is required to carry out reasonable tasks within their level of skill and ability (as requested by senior management).

Things to consider:
During the first year you will be required to attend the University of Sheffield AMRC Training Centre in Sheffield, full time for an initial block of study. You will return to your workplace one Friday per month. After the initial block training you will attend the AMRC Training Centre for one day a week to undertake the knowledge study. The remaining four days will be spent in company learning on the job.

Advanced apprenticeships entry requirements: You will need both of the following:
- GCSE English language C or 4 or above
- GCSE Maths C or 4 or above.
Applicants are also required to successfully complete a series of assessments at the University of Sheffield’s AMRC Training Centre, as well as an employer recruitment and selection process to secure a place on an apprenticeship programme.
