The Role

Reporting directly to the SVP of Digital Operations & Royalties, the Associate Director, Digital Operations will be responsible for the day-to-day running of AMRA's Digital Operations function.

Working alongside the Usage Processing, Finance Operations, and BI & Automation teams, you'll help ensure the successful delivery of our global digital administration services while driving operational excellence across the function.

This is a hands-on operational leadership role.

You'll take ownership of cross-functional workflows, support teams in resolving complex operational issues, lead projects to improve processes and service delivery, and help shape the future direction of the Digital Operations function.

You'll work closely with internal stakeholders across Operations, Finance, and Technology to ensure our services continue to scale as the business grows.

We're particularly interested in ambitious professionals looking to move from Management Consulting, Corporate Advisory, Accountancy, or Legal into an in-house operational leadership role.

You'll bring the structured thinking, analytical approach, and project management skills developed in professional services, combined with a desire to solve complex operational challenges in a technology and music environment.

What You'll Do

  • You coordinate the day-to-day processing of digital usage data, ensuring high levels of accuracy and timely delivery across the global Digital Operations function.
  • You oversee cross-functional operational projects from planning through to delivery, ensuring they are completed on time and deliver measurable business value.
  • You provide day-to-day operational leadership across project teams, proactively removing blockers and supporting successful delivery.
  • You lead the documentation, mapping, and standardisation of end-to-end processing and royalty workflows.
  • You improve communication between Operations, Finance, Technology, and other business functions to ensure work moves efficiently across teams.
  • You monitor operational performance and key metrics, identifying opportunities to improve processes and service delivery.
  • You develop a detailed understanding of AMRA's digital data pipelines, operational processes, and reporting workflows to help resolve complex issues and identify future opportunities.
  • You build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, department leaders, and engineering teams, including KTech.
  • You help establish governance frameworks that improve communication, accountability, and workflow management across Operations, Finance, and Technology teams.
  • What You'll Bring

Preferred

  • Experience within a management consultancy, professional services firm, corporate advisory, legal practice, or similar environment, ideally at Manager level or above.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a numerical, financial, technical, or legal discipline.
  • A proven track record of delivering complex projects, process improvements, and operational change initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret large, complex datasets and translate them into practical business solutions.
  • Advanced SQL skills are essential, with experience querying, analysing, and validating large operational datasets.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical or operational concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • The ability to build trusted relationships across Operations, Finance, Technology, and senior leadership teams.
  • A genuine interest in digital music, licensing, technology, and operational excellence.

  • Experience working within music publishing, digital media, technology, or rights management.
  • Knowledge of digital service providers (DSPs), digital licensing, or royalty administration.

By Year 1: Leading Operational Change

You'll be a recognised leader within the Digital Operations function, driving continuous improvement initiatives, strengthening governance across teams, and delivering operational solutions that improve efficiency, scalability, and service quality across AMRA's global digital administration business.
