We are seeking an ambitious and results-focused European Meat Trader to join a growing international trading business. About the Role

As a European Meat Trader, you will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and selling meat products across European markets. You will build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers, identify new trading opportunities, and manage transactions from negotiation through to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage profitable trading relationships across Europe.
  • Source and trade beef, pork, poultry, lamb, and other protein products.
  • Negotiate prices, contracts, and supply agreements with suppliers and customers.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing movements, and competitor activity.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities in existing and emerging markets.
  • Coordinate with logistics, operations, and finance teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
  • Manage trading margins and achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Travel within Europe as required to meet customers and suppliers.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in meat trading, food trading, commodity trading, or protein sales.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain customer and supplier relationships.
  • Understanding of European food supply chains and international trade.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to business development.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-management skills.
  • Additional European language skills are advantageous but not essential.
